How to start coding as a beginner

 1. Firstly, I didn't start coding for money or to land a gig; don't worry, I'm still yet to make a dime off it 😹. Should I call it passion? I woke up one day and told myself, "Let's go get this." I don't know what came over me, but I just love it.

2. It's curiosity that led me to learn coding. The first curiosity: "What's behind all these mysterious letters?" The second: I spend a lot of time on the web, constantly asking myself, "This website can't just originate like this; there must be something behind it."

3. I didn't have an idea of where to start. I told my brother about starting coding; he had no idea either, but he referred me to a dear brother, AYATOO. All of these processes happened in just a day or so. AYATOO provided many tips on reading books about coding; trust me, this goes a long way.

4. I was fortunate to learn about a coding boot camp for beginners through a dear buddy, T-Captain. The class was hosted by my boss, "Just Qudus." His tutorials went a long way, opening my eyes to how I could start coding even using my phone before I could afford a laptop.

5. Techy things have always been a part of me, which is why I decided to add website creation and designing to my skills, as that is somehow easier to land a gig. I told myself, "This coding stuff might take some time."

6. Have you ever used a website or an app and wondered how functional it is? I mean, the layout, features, styles – it was part of the questions I kept asking myself.

7. I am yet to get to the stage I envisaged in this, but honestly, I have satisfied most of my curiosities and am still learning. I keep telling myself, "If I can't do this, let me have an idea." 💡

8. It's been hard to focus due to academics and the lack of physical mentorship. But the fact that "I'm not a computer science student, but I know how to code" is a complete triumph to me 😎😌.

9. To cut a long story short, I started yesterday, and I was able to complete a bit of my power in HTML, CSS, and some front-end technologies. We're still practising and keep learning.

10. Before I conclude, it's that time when almost everything revolves around technology. Find a tech skill you love and learn. The results might not come quickly, but trust me, you can't lose.
